Guti to be let off for oversleeping
“Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly let Guti off after he missed Monday training session.
According to Sport, the midfielder was late for two hours and cited he had set the wrong time on his alarm clock. The Spanish paper also reported that Pellegrini is unlikely to punish the player.
Real Madrid missed the chance to keep pace with Barcelona after a disappointing 0-0 draw...

International Break
This of course means that there is no action for Guti until the resumption of La Liga play this coming weekend, with Spain qualified for the World Cup I think it’s time we stepped up our efforts and got Guti back into the Spanish setup.
Now I know he’s got stiff competition from the Xavi/Fabregas/Alonso etc. group but that can’t deter us, we all know he’s the clearly the...

A loss.
Well it was bound to happen, I think if there’s one thing we can all agree on was that Guti was not the problem. I’m gonna blame Pepe because he’s always an excellent scapegoat and that’s what massive semi-delusional teams like Madrid know and love, scapegoats.

Guti

Phil Ball
“Kaká and Guti obliged by appearing for the second half, and the sudden simplicity of the game of football re-asserted itself. Guti may be inconsistency incarnate, but the instinctive elegance of his movements and the weird, architectural precision of his passing have to be appreciated live. He ain’t the same on the telly somehow.”

Real Madrid v Tenerife 26.09.09
“Manuel Pellegrini’s decision to introduce Kaka and Guti at the break proved decisive as Madrid put an uninspiring first-half performance behind them to take the spoils thanks to a Karim Benzema brace and a 25-yard strike from Kaka.”

Has this not been the theme of the entire season?

Guti
Starting today, thank god. Ronaldo has scored of course, making him the first ever Madrid player to score in his first 4 league games. Congrats Ronnie.
Sergio Ramos with the assist BTW, it does seem there is some crossover love between Guti and Ramos, understandable, they’re both awesome.
