International Break

This of course means that there is no action for Guti until the resumption of La Liga play this coming weekend, with Spain qualified for the World Cup I think it’s time we stepped up our efforts and got Guti back into the Spanish setup.

Now I know he’s got stiff competition from the Xavi/Fabregas/Alonso etc. group but that can’t deter us, we all know he’s the clearly the world’s finest passer and his finishing is excellent for a midfielder but it’s the veteran leadership he brings that should really bring him into Del Bosque’s plans. Guti is nothing if not dependable and level headed, when the players need to be rallied from 1-0 down at halftime in the final Guti will be the man to do it. We all know it and now we have to make sure Del Bosque knows it. I would think sending the Spanish Federation an email with this link enclosed should be enough, but if not I’ll keep trying, maybe another email will be needed. Who knows.
